The Pokémon 10th Anniversary Video Game Championships will see 128 Pokémon Trainers battle it out 1-on-1 using their own Game Boy Advance Pokémon team on Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.
Assemble your ultimate Pokémon team and bring them on your own copy of one of the following: Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen.
MAKE SURE YOUR GAME BOY ADVANCE POKÉMON GAME FULFILLS ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- Game must be saved at a Pokécentre
- Must have at least 3 Pokémon in your team
- No more than one of the same Pokémon is allowed on a team
- Pokémon can hold items
- No more than one of the same item can be held on your team – Soul Dew disallowed
- No profanities allowed as names, if any offensive words are found on your game you may be disqualified
If your game does not adhere to the above criteria, you unfortunately may forfeit your place in the Championships
The battles will take place on Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness with the following settings:
- Game Boy Advance VS Game Boy Advance
- Battle Style – Single Battle
- Number of Entry Pokémon – 3
- Pokémon level 1 – 100
- Move selection – 20 seconds
- Time Limit – 7 Minutes
As there are only 128 openings for contestants in the Pokémon 10th Anniversary Video Game Championships, we recommend you get to the event early to register.
The winner of each Pokémon Video Game Championship Grand Final each event day, will receive a Pokémon 10th Anniversary prize pack (valued at $869.46) consisting of:
